Volleyball - Girls Varsity

10/29/09 - The Giants faced a tough Drake team and crowd in Drake's house last night.  After losing the first game 25-12, the Giants calmly rallied and took it to Drake, winning three of the next four games, 25-16, 25-18, 22-25 and 15-12.  Redwood was firing on all cylinders.  On the defensive end, Sarah Blum had 29 digs.  Michaela Sinrod ran the offense, setting her hitters with 32 assists.  Ursula Kunhardt and Lucia Pohlman supplied firepower with 21 kills and 10 kills (Lucia also had 14 assists), respectively.  Kat Gueth and Jessica Gapoff were strong in the middle, and Lizzie Ahern played consistently on the outside and served well.  MCAL playoffs start next week!
